Ziptie guzzi

I recently purchased my first Guzzi, a 2007 Breva 750, and the previous owner was nice enough to use a zip-tie instead of the proper part. Any idea what part and/or part number this is? It looks to be some sort of idle set screw. Thanks in advance!

Looks like it may be the fast idle cam for starting. No real need for it as all it does is open the butterfly a bit when you start the bike. It is actuated by a lever on the handle bar.
Just open the throttle a bit as you start the bike and it will do the same thing.

Thanks for the info! I was actually looking at the part catalog earlier but couldn't really pinpoint the exact part, any insight would be appreciated.

Interesting, I fiddled with it a bit while the bike was running and it seemed to change the bikes idle speed. I had no idea that lever was even there! Any idea what the part number is?

 I think all you're missing is the cable that actuates the fast idle cam .

You will also need the spring if the lever on handlebar works.

The only time I use the fast idle is when the temps drop and I want to up the idle speed  a bit to get the oil circulating. I never actually warm the bike up but do make sure that the oil has had time to lubricate those sticks thrashing around inside before I ride.

No doubt the ziptie was a result of too much vibration...and a roadside repair!   "Hell Hath No Fury..." like a ZIPTIE Guzzi!! :1:
