Lowered shocks on V7, anyone?

Stock shocks are @14.25" eye to eye.
My wife would like to lower her V7 Stone, I'm thinking an inch would work, so I'm shopping around for shocks.
Anyone out there lowered one, curious to hear if you have.

Check Moto International, the text below is from their site.
http://www.motointernational.com/catalog/moto-guzzi/2017-moto-guzzi-v7-iii-special
"To better accommodate shorter riders, we have compiled a custom kit of components that lower seat height approximately 2. The kit consists of a lower, narrower seat with gel insert, shorter rear shocks, repositioned front forks, and different hand levers better accommodating a shorter reach. The woman in the pictures is 5'2" and has a 30" inseam. She is flat-footed on both feet wearing boots."
I'm 5'6" with a 31.5"ish inseam and can just flat foot Anni, but I did consider having this setup installed before taking delivery.

I've reshaping and recovering two seats already, one is for her. The levers are fine for her. Her biggest issue is trying to "back it up" when needed, and slippery wet pavement at stops. .
I'll check that out, thank you.

Also get low profile tires. I put some on mine, and it painlessly takes some height off. Bridgestone Battleax. The rear is 130/70 instead of the stock 130/80.

Stock shocks are 15.25" for standard V7, with eyelet diameter of 12mm.
I've been researching running aftermarket triumph or Harley twin shocks, ohlins makes them upto 14" for HD which should adapt easily.
MGcycle offers Ikon shocks at a reasonable price too with lower springs available

Well, on my Cali Titanium, I just installed the air shocks off a HD Road King. They're about 1" shorter than the stock shocks, one of which had started leaking, hence the change. Since I run her with bags on, adjusting the shocks is a pain when going from solo to two-up... so I decided on the air shocks.
Yes, I had to do some fabrication to make everything fit, but I'm happy with how it looks and can't wait to see how it rides... as soon as it quits snowing up here in WNY.

Gel is garbage. Not a fan. I'm working on a shaved and shaped seat for her already, but I've never liked gel. Hate working with it, hate sitting on it, hate it in the cold. Good quality upholstery foam in the proper density is the best, in my opinion.
But thank you all for the suggestions. And yes, the shocks are 15.25", my bad.
As for the low profile tires, I'll have to seek out some dual sport tires in a lower profile... the semi-knobbies are a necessity where we live, she's running the Golden Tyres from the Stornello right now. (I Just got my Heidenau Scouts in for my V7 Special, excited for the weather to warm up a bit so I can get into the garage and get them mounted.)
She's not in dire straits at the moment, as I said... just when backing up and occasionally in the rain at stop lights. So we'll go the seat and shocks route for now.

Well, the funny thing is: I have tried several different seats on my 2013 Stone, including the Cafe Classic seat. But what really satisfies me is the (higher) Comfort Gel seat. As it is firm interestingly the connection to the bike is really good - especially on our small Northern Germany (Lüneburg Heath) backroads.
