The usual mix: Friday night rum and rock and roll. Works every time.
That does sound nice, blues and Cabernet here. (The hard stuff wreaks havoc on my blood sugar)
1) The recruiter from the U.S. Job Corps used our conference room today for recruitment when he left he told me that all 7 applicants were accepted into the program provided that they finish the paperwork involved. It will change their lives.
Well, I'm smiling if the Job Corps has changed since my first job, working at a state park. To the Job Corps guys, it was all just a box to be checked to get their monthly money ... I'd be working, clearing trails and cleaning campground bathrooms, and they'd be sitting around smoking and joking and laughing at me for doing all the work ... if it's turned into something useful, that's worth a smile in anyone's book. It was a "piss you off" candidate at the time! Good on yer for doing it right.Bigger smile is that my son came to visit last night, his family is at the beach and he had to work, so he's here and since it's raining, he's volunteered to help me in the shop today! Lord knows I need the motivation sometimes, I tend to bite off more than I can chew and the shop needs a ton of work to get organized and cleaned up. Next to the first ride on new tires on a bike, stepping into a clean well-organized shop is one of the best of life's little pleasures .... Lannis
@ Kev MYup, your pic made me smile! :1:
Thanks. that was earlier that day and I wanted to share as soon as I saw the title. And as soon as I saw your post I knew it belonged too. One more from a week or so ago.
For a bloke who's a couple of months off 60, I'll admit to being a bit childish, but this got me thinking...account deletion page
