OH my what history and imagination.  Drop a HD gas tank on it and write a narrative, which even if correct this is still a part bike.

Ummmmm  -  "dogpatch special"  -  probably means something, wouldn't you say? Maybe something of value? The initiated would know?
Most of you guys are familiar with the country and the language, so what do you say?

Maybe this belongs in *The stupidest thing anyone ever said to you about motorcycles* thread

It might be a spoof , but I've heard more ridiculous claims made in all seriousness .

Hey, this is from San Francisco!   the South gets dumped on enough ... time for the reality of 'California Dreamin' ' to take hold ....

A stock 396 piston is only ~4.1" in diameter v the V1000 @~3.4" = ~2x oem displacement.  There's plenty of meat in the V1000 jug to bore it out that extra 3/4" and STILL have enough left to withstand a 13.75:1 compression ratio.  The seller admits he's never "seen what it could do", but it's got Alfa Romeo valve components -- what could go wrong?

This reads like an ad I would place for a visually clapped-out lawnmower.  I'm pretty sure the seller is after a tongue-in-cheek giggle and perhaps that $95 offer.

It's a bit late for an Aprils Fool's Day joke.

FWIW, can anyone ID what it was originally?  T-3?
