Nice one Roy. I have never seen that particular photo.

I recall seeing a documentary many years ago about one of his trips to Bonneville. They blundered in to a restricted area and were jumped on by the MP's. One of them leapt on to the deck of the truck to inspect what was under the cover, recognized what he was looking at, and who he was looking at, instantly. (This was being surreptitiously being recorded by the following vehicle). The upshot was that the guns went down and were taken to the base and treated right royally. I thought at the time how bizarre it was that he and his achievements were known in the States but most Kiwis would not have a clue about him.

Often thought he should have got a Sportsman of the Year award.

On a recent trip two full dress Indian riders came into the servo at Uluru.
I naturally asked, “which one of you is Burt?”. They both laughed and said,”he is”. [emoji41][emoji41][emoji41]

Air traffic at my house a couple of days ago.
The jet is on a shakedown flight as it is still registered to Textron (Cessna). Nice. The Beech with the wingtip tanks is owned by Blue Skies

Sue Ellen and I are in Newfoundland chasing icebergs...  Stayed in Twillingate and trekked over to Fogo Island yesterday.

Taken from the end of the access road that leads to the Waterman's Brook Trail, off Mercer Memorial Drive, just prior to Main St, Fogo.
The light changed rapidly while we were there, fog rolled back in as evidenced in one of these images. Appeared to be fairly windy out there so I do not know if any tour boats were near the bergs.
