Not liking the exhaust on the Capriolo, though they are hard to come by. I'd also question the year. That model came in '58-59 I believe, but went unchanged and remaining stock were sold by Cosmo in the '60's. Not sure what that makes it.

The Gilera looks like a blast! So it it a Gilera, or is it an Allstate? Typically the Italian stuff sold by sears was rebadged to Allstate.
Edit: Here it is in Sears/Allstate badge
https://oldmotodude.blogspot.com/2015/09/1968-sears-allstategilera-1245v-on.html
A lot of the older Vespas sold by Sears are worth more now as unmolested Allstate than turned back to piaggio/vespa". They usually had some small variances, like taillights and certain badges on them which are now more desirable to have. I think the VINs also carried different numbering on them.
Anyway, back to regular programming... It still looks like a fun bike!

Bah! Vintage Italian or not it's bodge galore on both. What makes those bikes special to me is the looks, design they were created with, not the wild imagination of some back shed tweeker. Tiddlers from Italy may have gotten up in price, but cleaner, not messed with bikes are available. Granted if it's your bike you can do what you want, which includes poor taste modifications. I grew up with bikes like that in original shape back in Italy. Would rather have a tired original one any day

One Gilera is enough for me. Unless it is their 4 cylinder race bike - DOHC w/sand cast block.
A week or two ago I spoke with Glenn, He hoped to open on 20 August - then a hand written sign said 'temporarily closed.
It is the home of genius. A wood fired Italian oven and the man turns out the very best baked goods. A variety of breads, rolls, pastries, croissants, cakes and more; Would you like soup with your freshly made sandwich? BTW: In the 60's I lived in France.
For me equidistant with the Vanilla Bean. Rose 32 is a wonderful place. Great food, terrific owners. Well trained staff.
The 'racer' is long gone. R3~
