Quick question about Guzzidiag.

I saw that it was possible to display the lambda sensor voltage and also the lambda integrator.

I was wondering if the lambda integrator only corresponds to lambda - λ, it seems to correspond, if not what is it?

Is there also a way to display the AFR? even if it's easy to calculate.

Thanks
Most likely have to use the displayed lambda value and learn it's conversion to AFR.

Id like to log parameters for reviewing and map changes. Has anyone successfully done this?

I am a Linux user so my knowledge of Windows is old. I purchased a Windows 10 Dell Latitude laptop to use the GuzziDiag software with my 2014 California Touring with an idle hanging issue.

One quick question:
I've downloaded the recommended driver update program from this WildGuzzi website but I'm uncertain how to use it.
Should I start GD with (or without) the cables connected first?
Should I run CDM21228.exe before running GD or can I run CDM21228.exe while GD is running?
Do I need to uninstall any serial port drivers before running CDM21228.exe?

Thanks, Den j.

Aloha!

Having been unable to install GuzziDiag on an M2 Mac, I drug an old Toshiba Windows XP laptop out of the closet. I have received the Lonelec cables and was able to connect them to my 2017 V7III Stone. I can open GuzziDiag, but it does not connect to the bike.

I ran Setup_CDM21228, but the Wizard cannot find any device drivers.

Dual boot it to Linux Mint.
Works a treat with GuzziDiag and no pissing about with drivers. Currently running with GuzziDiag_V0.60_x64

I just have a little shell script that I run from the desktop, for a belt & braces approach..
Code: [Select]
# With the cable plugged in and powered, check that you have this device:  /dev/tts/USB0 eg. ls -l /dev/tts/USB*
sudo chmod 666 /dev/tts/USB0
sudo ln -s /dev/tts/USB0 /dev/ttyUSB0

In GuzziDiag select the same port: from my ini file..

Port = /dev/ttyUSB0

Thank you for the Mint suggestion DoubleG but due to the only way to write a new map to the ECU is to use a Windoz host I want to at least try to use this laptop with Windows. Perhaps someone with Windows experience will make a suggestion about running the driver update code.

In the meanwhile I'll look into loading a flavor of Linux on this laptop, though I don't presently know how to do that without wiping out Windows 10. Though, it should be as simple as shrinking the Windows partition and then install Linux (I use Fedora and Ubuntu on my desktop hosts). I looked at the Mint distro download page and see three varieties: Cinnamin, MATE and Xfce, I am a little familiar with Xfce but don't really like the interface. Do you suggest either Cinnamin or MATE?

Thanks for your input,
Den j.

Certainly for the Breva, there is a reader/writer for Linux- I haven't checked for the V7, nor for Cali.
If your Cali uses the same ECU as the 750 Breva..
IAW15xReader & IAW15xWriter (check on the Griso.org site etc.)

Cinnamon or MATE are equally good in my experience and I mix them across different machines. MATE is a bit more lightweight, so tend to use that on older laptops, for example. Cinnamon is my daily driver and in use for years. I only use Windoze/MacOS when absolutely forced to do so.
I suggest that you defragment Windoze bloatware first, once you've cleaned out temporary files etc. The Mint installer (Ubuntu too?) asks if you like to install alongside Windoze, though I personally manually partition the discs.

Code: [Select]
/dev/sda1   500M  HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
/dev/sda2   52.6G  HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
/dev/sda3  13.4G Linux
/dev/sda4  169G  W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/sda5   128M Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda6    4G Linux
/dev/sda7    11.7G Linux
/dev/sda8    57.6G Linux
/dev/sda9    26.4G Linux
/dev/sda10   17.7G Linux
/dev/sda11   20.9G Linux
/dev/sda12   18.6G HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
/dev/sda13    11.4G Linux

Certifiable geek?
