Have a friend that may want to get back into motorcycling. Saw a 2007 Nevada for sale with 7k and mentioned it to him. I thought i might be a great bike for him. Can anyone tell me about this bike and what it might be like to ride and own?

Low seat, nice position, like any V7 early ones. Not too many problems, fuel pump hoses were bad on all, some had a dash lite glitch that they had a fix for. 2 kinds of dashes, late one needed the fix. Some had ECU issues, most not though.

Same motor as the V7 twin throttle body, so good. Same ECU (15RC & better than the one for the 1TB). Lower seat than the V7, better for those with shorter legs, and easier to get a learners' feet back to the ground. Usually reliable. I'd say pretty ideal for a returning rider, if it fits him & if he suits it. A no stress re-introduction that is comfortable in town as well as the open road. I'd say that one of the reasons you don't hear much about the Nevada is that nothing much goes wrong.

Th Breva 750 is really nothing more than any other modern small block with different bodywork. They are not popular and do not command a lot of money. Like around $2,000 no matter what the seller thinks they are worth. As far as functionally they are good bikes easy to maintained no glaring issues other then they are small. If you buddy it is over 5'-10" its going to fell really cramped.

The cruiser derivative of the 750 Breva. I don't like cruisers but I love the Breva. The motor has literally never missed a beat. Multiple gearbox issues but these are not indicative of a design flaw. Luigi just had a REALLY bad day at the office with mine
. Other than a sticky pre-selector that only occurred on the '03-04 models I don't know of anyone who has had gearbox problems. I see no reason why it shouldn't be a great relaxed ride.

Small, light, nimble. A 2/3rds size EV/Cali. Low cost suspension. Rock hard seat. At 5'9" 32" inseam I'm a little cramped. I filled the bucket seat with an airhawk and sheepskin to raise my butt and open the angle on my knees. Highway pegs.
It looks like a "cruiser", but not really. Sitting is more upright than you would think by looking at it. Very lite undisturbed handling. Slight nudges at the bar are carried out predictably, but it's really unfazed by road warts. Fingertip control.
Hard on the gas out of corners you get a little cross up with the front wheel aiming to the outside of a turn and the next thing you know your running flat track at the Springfield Mile.....
Not really....small simple lite cheap
That smallblock motor just sings at 6k....just needs the LaFranconi mufflers for sale in the want ads. I spent $400 for progressive rear shocks, and decided against the $1000 solution for the front forks. Harper's has a tank bag cheap. There are a different set of Nevada specific mounting racks for Hepco Becker bags.
Found mine discarded and abandoned at a dealership w 1000 miles, 10 yrs old, and a few scars from being dropped in a low speed. Cheap, cheap, cheap...
Pick a different color for the front fender with any V7, I added white so it looks police-ee. Mine looks like it came from the parking and traffic safety division of the Lake Coumo police department...
For an old guy not going for weeks at a time, day trips, short rides it's been great for me, butt (!) I live in the northeast with twistys right out the back door. I would be bored on the interstate in the Great Plains.

I bought mine on eBay sight unseen. On the way home I thought I may have made a mistake because I felt I sat too low in the seat(I'm 5'10" with 30" inseam), though according to Cycle-Ergo, the seating position is nearly identical to my old bike. However much the Airhawk raised the seat, it mostly fixed it for me, so I guess fit is going to be an important factor in deciding whether it'll work for your friend.
The Nevada is very fun to ride, light and flickable, and easy to push around the parking lot. That sounds like a good re-entry bike. While I probably wouldn't want to ride it to the coast, I've done a couple hours on it down to the big city with no trouble. There's some nice upgrades for it too like rear rack, center stand, crash bar, etc:
if you want to spend the money. I'm guessing Guzzi didn't sell many of them, even by Guzzis low standards, which is why you don't hear about them much.
