Hi,

Anyone have a source for a Harley Davidson TPS 27271-95?

Thanks

Have you not tried a Harley dealer?  Surely they're everywhere in the USA.

I'm wondering why you are seeking one, and not a genuine Guzzi version.  They might be cheaper, but aren't the same.

Yeah, they'll work in a pinch but they ain't right. Some don't notice a difference after riding with a bad one, it seems an improvement

Don't know how much the Guzzi TPS is nowadays, but  Ca Cycleworks has the pf3c for about 80 bucks. The harley one will work but it's a pf4c and has different characteristics. At the time I did all this( about four years ago) the Guzzi one was close to 175bucks or so I experimented with all kinds of tps and finally went back to Ca Cycleworks and it's been fine evervsince. My $.02

Look at the round holes in the housing. They need to be slotted to adjust it to correct millivolt readings.

FWIW here's an article from 2002 comparing the two:

The difference must be pretty subtle. I put the Harley part on the Jack-All, and truly couldn't feel any difference.

That was my experience, too, when I put one on my "01 Stone.

It may be just fine, the engine I tried one on is a Cal series modified to use throttle bodies from a Sport. A stock engine should be able to use one, iirc the trouble was the range of adjustment was such that I couldn't get it to read WOT and idle.  I could get one or the other but not both. It is the was its constructed internally, the slots were the same. It's the only exception to " if it looks the same, it is the same"  :azn:
