I plan on being there not sure how many will come with me but I would guess about ten other folks will be going. It's just a great time and good riding.

I will be back again this year. My son, David will probably join in on Saturday on his Versys. Great food and good times, very relaxed.

I have to update this. Blu Guzz is at Enzo's now. I went in for a warranty repair for a warped rear disc, parts in stock. While on the stand, the rear brake line started seeping (glad it happened there and then). The part is in Atlanta, question about whether they can get it all going pre-rally. Also, having a problem that several other Cal Customs have had with the service urgent light. That will be attended to as well, just depends on the timing of the parts. I know Cadre will do everything they can. If I can't ride, I may pop down in the car for Sat. dinner.

Hey Chuck, Pat here, saw your post on V11 asking if Austin would be interested in my Lemans 1V. Charged the battery, fired right up and flogged the heck out of it today on some of best mid tenn roads. If he has a pulse he would be interested. Looking forward to Kentucky rally

Hearing about heavy rain/flooding in KY. Rally site is on a river, everything AOK? Any roads to avoid Thursday afternoon (coming from Va.)

Spoke to the people at the campground this afternoon. Everything is good. No flooding in the campground. Rally still on! Ron, eastern Ky. hasn't gotten nearly as much rain as we here in central Ky has. I don't think you will have any problems. Ride safe!

Alrighty, now! Prepped the mIghty G5 today. She's sweet. Helped Austin get his ready. (Brakes not working for 10 years) He probably won't make it.. but we'll see.

At any rate, we'll be there. Brad called and said he'd be here in the morning. He and Nora will ride down with me. Lord willin, and the crick don't rise, we'll all be there..

Dusty, I read in the campgrounds google site that there was WIFI or cell coverage there.

Hopefully the attendees will post pictures when they get home.

Enzo and the boys got Blu buttoned up for me so I could go yesterday. I opted for a day trip instead of camping for one night. It could not have been a more beautiful autumn day in central Kentucky. There was a good turn out in the upper 60s of riders, passengers and friends. My son and his lady friend joined us riding a Kawi Versys. Lunch was served and then we took a scenic ride on some of the great local roads. Then, time for beer, later dinner, finally door prizes and then my hitting the road for home (only 60 miles). Thanks to the staff who worked so hard to make this a great event each year. As usual the food was great and the cakes world class. I can't wait for next year.

Unfortunately, by far the most compelling images from this weekend would require a pillion with a camera. The countryside is literally breathtaking.

Why Kentucky?

There were quite a few 1400's, only 2 V7's, zero V9's

The Kentucky hosts are workhorses, and do an excellent Job. John Barnes is a great lead on the rides. Perfect weather. I ended up with 540 miles on the weekend. couldn't ask for a better rally.

Pretty much sums it up. The Kentucky river was rollin..

Brad had called down to the campgrounds and made sure it was still there

before coming down from Wisconsin. Ran into light rain about half way to the rally, and it continued until we arrived. Cool, damp, etc. The big stone fireplace felt really good for a bit. Hugs all around. It's family here.
Karla, Donna, and all made sure we had something to eat.. remember this is before the rally actually started.

Even with all the rain and muddy conditions Thursday evening, Nora gave the rally a big thumbs up. "They are really friendly, here." It was her first time, but she is ready to come back.
Saturday evening after dinner, Austin rolled in. He had a no start condition, I was in Kentucky with my phone turned off, and he eventually contacted Charlie M. Charlie freely gave his time and info to get him going.

Austin is not terribly demonstrative, but I saw him smiling and laughing all weekend.
Met some old and new friends again.
I love the Kentucky rally.. Thanks to all that made it happen.
