Never knew they made a scooter. Wish they would show the engine.

It's a thing of beauty. I've always liked them. Made in Hall Green close to where I spent my teenage years riding Lambrettas (and Panthers). Top quality scooter, 250cc 2 stroke twin. Yep, I'd have it for sure.

Maybe it floats? Love it. For a second I thought it was Dayton (OH) - then I'd have a dilemma on my hands

Edit: Just noticed the asking price = no dilemma at all then

My brother has a Tigeress being a Triumph guy. His wife used to ride it often.  https://www.tomcc.org/Triumph/Model/67#details

I almost bought one of those once, in about that condition, in 1992.
A guy in CA had quite a large collection of original unrestored unusual scooters, many in running condition, that he was liquidating.
I believe his intent was to turn the whole collection into a Vincent Black Shadow -- quite a smart move, if he succeeded at it.

I could afford to buy any one, but just one.
That Velocette was a top contender for me, and I almost went for it.
I ended up with a Maicoletta 277 instead, which I still have.

Yes, it is.  I also have a 1960 Heinkel Tourist, which is an amazingly good scooter.  I've put about 50K miles on that one over the years.
