Boy, you got that right, and I'll be 20 min from there on Nov 4th.

But he has the bars rotated waaaay to high, like a roto-tiller, so I wouldn't buy it.

Bars are easy to fix; and so is that stratospheric windshield.   I'd never expect a bike I buy to be adjusted and accessorized precisely for me; this one looks like a good base to start from.   I might actually like the seats!

I was just kidding about the bars. I was just poking fun at one of my peeves from my old motocross days. Me and my buddies used to make judgements about riders based on their handlebar position....upturne d to make your elbows stick up to look cool definitely did NOT make you ride faster....

I'd buy that rig in a heartbeat if I had the $$.

Shouldn't a 74 have a front disk already?

That does look nice,

Yes, a '74 should either have a four-leading-shoe drum brake or disc brake, depending on when it was built.

Maybe it was a left over '72 or '73 that got titled as a '74, as was common practice back then.

That said, it already has  Gilardoni cylinders, Greg Bender wiring harness, and Scrambler Cycle alternator kit.     So, this most likely a turn key Eldorado for half what I've got into mine.

And yes, it does look good in red.

Where's the ignition switch on this one?  Not left side under the seat, and I don't see it on the dash.

That's what I was thinking.  A few other details make me a little skeptical....

I'd buy it on the spot, except that the rear view mirror stalks are too long....

At that price, that eldo will sell quick. I think its underpriced by $1500-$2000. I have twice that much in my 73.
Some lucky person is going to get a great deal with that bike. :thumb:

No, I don't think I've seen this one before, and altho some may like the color, it doesn't seem to do much for me.  On the price, I've been watching eBay & Craigslist for awhile now & Eldos in the $7-8K starting range don't seem to be moving, at least not in our area or the southeast.  KBB & NADA do indicate that this is a good price for an LAPD bike, but I haven't seen it reflected in the auction sites.
