IT Help

Urgently need help regarding GuzziDiag and Laptop (Windows7).

Have previously read/written maps (Thanks Beetle)

Went to reset my TPS (Stelvio NTX) and I could not get the connection -keeps telling me that the Ignition is off.

Have run the Adapter Test - all good

It is connecting through Com3 - I have a faint memory that I had to change to Com4 last time I installed a map, the drop down menu only lists Com3?

Mark has suggested that I uninstall and reload the GuzziDiag drivers. - I can't find them using the Device Manager?

My go to resource (Teenage son) is currently over seas

Can anyone shed a light on this problem

With the cable unplugged from the computer, start the computer.  Once it settles down, plug the assembled cable in to a USB port that you have not been using.  The computer will find it and reload the driver.  Now open guzzidiag and check your port choices.  There should be a different com port than what you have been using.  Try that one.

As an addendum to this procedure, please install the drivers from FTDI before you plug in the cable. I will send you a link to download.

Actually, try this instead. With the cable plugged in, go to Device Manager.

Scroll down to the bottom and expand 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'

Double click on 'USB Serial Converter'

Click on the 'Driver', then click Uninstall.

In the dialog box that opens, check 'Delete the driver software for this device'

Windows will then automagically re-install some drivers. Click 'Restart later'

Now reinstall the drivers from FTDI in the file you just downloaded.

Remove cable and plug in again. Try GuzziDiag.
