For quite a few years, I've flown to Europe (twice each year) to rent a Guzzi from Agostini, and, since 2008 that has always meant a Stelvio.

They had initially planned to replace the Stelvio with a V85 for 2019, but are now keeping a Stelvio for customers that would prefer the larger bike (or perhaps they're just doing it for me).

So, there you go.  At least for this year, you can still rent a Stelvio, although as I've already used up six weeks worth, your preferred dates might not be available--act now.

Yep.  I've been asked to ride the V85 around a bit to see how I like it.  It'll be a good opportunity to see how easy it will be to hook up the wire harness for my electric vest (I prefer to avoid the existing outlets that might be connected in some way to the computer) and the best way to clamp my small GPS (are the bars the same diameter?) and also to make sure that it's easy to strap on my duffle to the rear seat while still allowing room for me.  I don't care about the saddle-bags and box.

I'm supposing that for 2020, the Stelvio won't be there.

My Girl friend and I will also be in Europe this summer and plan to rent a motorcycle for one week, we'll have a car for the other two weeks.
Last September I purchased an exhaust directly from Agostini and at the time they confirmed they'd have a V85 in their rental fleet this summer.

There's a Guzzi dealer in Germany, Motorradhaus Renner, near the Swiss-French boarder that also rents Gazzi's and have confirmed they will have a V85 available for rental. Their rental fees for V7's. Stelvio, and Cali 1400's have been far better then at Agostini, I expect the same to be true for the V85. I've rented from Remmer in the past, nice peeps,  great to deal with, and equipment was in top notch condition. take a look here: https://www.motorradhaus-renner.de/index.

...in Germany, Motorradhaus Renner, near the Swiss-French border...also rents Guzzi's...

It's good to know of another place to rent Guzzi, and being so near to Basel, Switerland, they should be easy to get to by air.

I checked their rental rates for a Stelvio: Agostini is 80 euros lower than Motorradhaus for a one-week rental.

When renting in Europe check for any mileage limit and for insurance coverage when comparing companies.  Prices can vary dramatically depending on those factors.

I'll be there in May.
I'll do some Go Pro and post it here. Mercifully, I'll keep the commentary to a minimum.

Did a little arithmetic but it could be wrong??

Looks to me like Renner is actually about 400e less then Agostini for a 7 day rental. 299e for mon.-fri.  and 238 for sat.-sun. a total of 537e at Renner,  vs 920e at Agostini.  Ago daily km allowance is 400 vs 300 for Renner. I find 300 km in the Alps to be a full day. Extra mile surcharge at Renner is .35e, Agostini is .40e..

Only you know which work best for you.  :thumb:

Soooo who asked you to ride the V85?

Would your feedback make its way to the factory?  Given what you've done on past machines and engineering background your feedback would be valuable to them.

So does that answer the issue of the, "I'll believe it when I see it" naysayers and doubters..?
Now where was that list again ?
