Ye old Jackal, MG sport screen, Lucas style tail light, MG crash bar, Gran Tourismo grips, Napoleon bar end mirrors, low flat track style bars, aluminium rear turn signals mounted to frame just under seat, highway pegs mounted to frame just under crash bar, 30 Lt. HB bags (not pictured), EPA crap ripped off and vac. connected between cylinder heads, dropped rear fender about an inch with a drill and some plugs for the old holes, Last and most important cut air box top off, Lafranconi mufflers and PCIII brought it all together nicely.

Here is mine as it was;

Changes from standard;
EV touring screen, rack and pannier mount.
Heated grips
Harpers footboards
Fiam twin horns
Cush drive modified
Front crash bar
Centre stand from a Cali 3

Since then I added a GPS mount.

Being done this winter;
Second disc
Mudguards stripped and powder coated. (the paint bubbles up after time)
The screen frame, crash bar and rack dechromed and powder coated black
Wheels done the same.
Fork lowers repainted as original
Heads and engine repainted.

Nicked the idea for most of the dechroming from Kev in the "how black can we go" pic,I liked the "de blinged" look.   After 8 years it was getting to the "sell or tidy up stage" and it will never be sold.

  Charcoal canisters fell off, and I put on the crash bar, Fiamms, head guards, sport screen, 2nd front disc, lots of tires and lots of miles. 100,350 miles this AM on the way to work. Black Y2K Jackals are the best of the modern Moto Guzzis!

YUP, that's where I was getting too - decided to go with tidy up - but I didn't have a choice cause of the rust that was coming through on that back fender for me  :-[

Tom Farley has the most beautiful Jackal I have ever seen. You need to see his bike to believe it.

Here's my silver '00, sporting her wintertime Guzzi "barn door" shield, which keeps me toasty and, more importantly, dry.

Also has MG footboards and crash bars, centerstand, Harley air shocks, Vista Cruise control, National Cycle bags, Hepco Becker rear rack with back pad, front spots, gel grips, Stucchi crossover...

And here she is with her new lower Hepco Becker rack, which allows me to run a top case that can be removed in seconds.

On the road with the summertime Guzzi Sport shield, and new Joe Kenny head guards

One of the prettiest MGs I've ever seen was a pristine black Y2k Jackal with solo seat, drag bars, those nice paint matched sculpted bags... just stunning in a minimalist kinda way.... absolutely lovely bikes. Kinda wish I had hunted one down instead of the EV.

Yes, the Jackal is the best of modern Guzzi. Minimal in a modern way. Really wish it had modern drum brakes up front and out back. Some day I may hit 100k, only 26k now.

The cheap Italian chrome was peeling allowing the rim to rust, so Jenn and I hand sanded em, taped the spokes, and sprayed the rims black with rattle can wheel paint. It's holding up pretty well, but we have to touch up a little spot here or there when we replace tires.

I sold my Jackal back in the spring, but here she is set up how I used to run 'er as a bagger. I know some folks love their Hepco-Beckers, but for my money, nothing looks better on Jackals than color matched National Cycle Cruiseliner bags. The curve of the fender and the bags are a perfect match.

I ran it with the solo seat, MG rear luggage rack, MG Jackal Tour Shield...

Color-matched National Cycle bags do look great - especially on something brighter like that Red one.

I still prefer the HBs purely from a rugged functional perspective (not to mention I can pop em off the Jackal and onto the Breva or vice-versa - and they match the HB trunk with the same functionality).

Kev,

Beautiful Jackal.  That's something I would like to do.

When I was in Illinois for a spell and my EV was out of commission, I met a client who had 77 motorcycles in his hanger.  He lent me his Jacket that had 14 miles on it.  He found the Jackal a bit intimidating to ride.  Needless to say, I found the Jackal to be a fine machine. Well balanced and a joy to ride.

Grazie!

But man oh man - 77 motorcycles - I can't imagine someone who has owned one or two bikes beforehand finding a Jackal intimidating - nevermind 77 - but then again, I can't actually imagine owning 77  :BEER:

He is quite the collector.  I didn't mention his 6 antique airplanes and 3 everyday planes.  He has cars everywhere.  But at last, he has little time to enjoy what he has collected.

I (like many of you) only have enough to support and ride one bike.

And that's why I can honestly say I don't envy that.

I'm human, I would definitely like a "little more"
