Frontwoman is a bit of eye candy. Their music is not my cup-o-tea.
She has pretty strong voice. The classical (music) training shows up (look her mouth or how easily she moves from full open throat voice to chest voice like 9:12 - 9:14 etc.). That needs training.

No worries. That's one kind of symphonic metal music. As with all harder rock music, for sure all will not like it. Totally fine.
No matter what, the song itself has been pretty ambitious try (who ever of them wrote it). Already in intro part they change tempo 3 times :bow:.

I like them ! I went through and listened to some others. Feel very 80s-ish too me. Not really a fan of keyboards in my heavy metal but wasn't a fan of them in the 80s other. Last Ride of the Day was a pretty good song. I might need to hear a studio cut rather than live. I find the quality of live recodings to be poor on YouTube.

I have been a prog rocker since Court of the Crimson King. I enjoyed it.
I know Epitah. My father has lots of vinyls (and CDs), for example still having two turntables: Luxman PD 441 & Denon DP 59L.
Plus speakers which was originally designed to Sibelius Academy in Finland (via Jean Sibelius). For that kind of old bands, I have listened Pink Floyd more.
Liking guitar tone of David Gilmour.

I think they are excellent! Really good Prog Rock and kind of a mix of Metalica, Queen and Heart, but their own way. And that woman is hot and wow can she sing!. I downloaded some stuff to Apple Music. Thanks for posting!

Have you ever come across anything like these? Also these are much older than I'm (same as those turntables from late 80's and early 90's). They did not do much of these (big ones). The smaller version was more sold normal production model.

I have never seen these before. Extremely odd to find a driver (woofer or midrange in this case) mounted in free air with no enclosure. Roughly how wide, deep, and tall are the base cabinets and did they function as a sub woofer or just a bass speaker cabinet? If that were the case then that would indicate that the open cone was used in the midrange, which is strange because it appears that they are quote large.......too large to be an effective midrange speaker.

I think you got it correctly :bow:.
Tall? Bit over 145cm. The wood box is made from real birch (not from chipboard covered by some veneer). These are heavy. Speakers stands on rolls.
Yes, the bass element is in that box (woofer shows down).
The middle element is open, it is ''dipole'' (if I remember correctly how my father called it)? It is tilted a bit ... opening better against listeners.
The tweeter elements (4 together) are in the metal tower (up high). There are 2 switchers as well, but not sure what they'll do.
Over all I have to admit they sound pretty good. In my eyes ''airy'' describes them best. Meaning if I close my eyes, I do not very well know where the sound/music comes from (where the speakers are). But for that they need lots of space every direction (also behind). I think our living room is bit too small. They could fit bit better in some auditorium (you will sit bit higher). I assume my dad has also ended to amplifiers which will work well with those.
The person who designed those was working in University of Technology Helsinki. He used university's acoustic laboratory a lot. I assume computer programs (simulations) were rare back then. But yes, that design is outcome of somebody's deeper thoughts, and not just ... lets put few elements together weird ways. That kind of out of box thinking needs always some respects, right :wink:?

If they sound open and airy and not like speaker boxes......an excellent trait......some otherwise really good speakers never let you forget that you are listening to a box and not real music. Odd that they are so tall and yet the huge midrange cone is still aimed upwards. Normally one would want the tweeters at least, and perhaps the midrange, to be at or near ear level when sitting. The problem with that gigantic midrange is poor dispersion of the mid high range that it is trying to reproduce, so as long as they are aimed right at you, they could be accurate, but if you are off center the sound would be quite different. And as far as 4 tweeters, they tend to produce sound waves that interfere with each other. One tweeter is going to be better UNLESS they are made to play very loudly. And that fits the requirement for that really large midrange cone. So you are probably correct that these are made for a larger space. As for the dipole effect of the mid cone, odd that ONLY the midrange bounces off the back walls and not the hi frequencies, unless those tweeters are ribbon type. And you are also correct that they need space behind them, due to that mid cone. All speakers need to be off the wall a certain amount, to perform best, but those would be critical and moving them just an inch would make a big change in their sound. If you love them and keep using them you need to mark the floor where you like them best and move them 2 centimeters at a time to "tune" how they sound. They are very cool and beautifully made, it seems, but probably not ideal for a normal size home living/music/family room. What electronics do you use to run them?

The tweeters are in black metal box (the tower). They are not open (reverse side). Opposite behind/reverse side; there are 2 switchers in those metal boxes: Treble +/- and Control +/-
Yes ... over all those are huge. Designed to auditorium. And nope (before anybody ask), I have never tested those in some home party ...
Amplifiers? Sorry, I do not remember the brand (needs to check that next time I'm there), but they looks ''simple''. Just 2-channels (we have multi channel/multi speakers home theater another room).
But there are 3 of those. Someway connected to each others. Two looks similar (just has power on/off switch) and the third has normal volume etc. basic switchers. I think the third one will control the two others. If that makes sense?

... but I'm minority. My mom is Finnish Swede and my father is actually Swede. From Southern Sweden (Skåne). Basically from old Denmark's area.

And what comes to playing guitar alone, not long time a ago died heavy guitarist (Alexi Laiho / Finn) has never been my favorite.
Not either neo-classical style Yngwie Malsteen (Swe). For me emotions are more important than speed. Or ideas of solos more important than how difficult/hard those are to play. So my favorites tends to be older era British players like David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary More, Brian May, Mark Knopfler etc.
Ok, I admit I have one Ibanez S-serie guitar (extremely thin, also neck ... '' a gun'' for playing fast), but I still love my double cut (chambered body) Gretsch (bit like Malcom Young from AC/DC) more. Strats are fine but I like shorter scale neck. Do not either need Floyd Rose tremolos (Stevie Vai has never been favorite). Actually bigsby (Brian Setzer) would be just fine. To keep guitar in tune is just bit more challenger.

I like a non-recessed Floyd rose for a number of reasons, but I almost never go Steve Vai on it. Bigsby setups can definitely look cool on the right guitar, but they are the absolute worst to re-string. People complain about the difficulty of setting up a Floyd Rose, but I'll take one of those over a Bigsby any day (speaking as a former professional guitar tech)

That is one of my guitars. And one of ''partcasters''. Just to mention something else, I have for example Jaguar/Jazzmaster tremolo in strat body.
It is pretty fine (the feeling).

... I have changed all hardwares to gold color. I also changed pickguard. I wanted to make the guitar someway special/personal
(even as it was already limited serie model). Same time I put locking tuners, better pickups etc.

I also add string butler on that guitar. Seriously; I think it works better than those Greatch with real bigsby. And it looks almost as great.
Over all I like that guitar. It has chambered body, body wood is not made from mahogany (like many of these) but cheaper basswood. But that makes it lighter as well. I was bit worry that it could even be neck heavy, but luckily not. And bit different tremolo just helps on that. And yes, I like that shorter neck vs strats or my Ibanez. It has become my favorite guitar right now (even as some looks it bit long ... why I play exactly that of my guitars).
