I've no interest in people with no interest in new Moto Guzzi's.
I've no interest in people with no interest in old Moto Guzzi's.
People who dislike BMW's because of all the electronic gizmo's, you're OK. Nobody likes BMW's. :D
.....and make me joyful beyond dreams, stop asking/wishing/dreaming for a 65 HP small block.
Not. Going. To. Happen. :beat_horse

I must have missed something?
-
I have a savings account like that.
-
It's the natural progression from what I hear, V7, V7II, V7III. It just has to be 65hp.
But the Aero guy, says it will twist the, no, he said he wouldn't warranty it.
:pop

Whew! Had me worried for a minute. ;D

I bet the SB comes close sooner rather than later. Maybe not from the factory though. ::)

That's irrelevant. If it's not from the factory, it's just white noise from small block fanboys. ::)

You have wishes and dreams don't you? If so grasshopper listen to my words and don't throw it off as dribble. Does everything have to be factory?
-
This is what happens when airhead BMW riders infiltrate what used to be a wholly Moto Guzzi forum because they no longer accept the direction their beloved BMW factory has gone for now on. If they could they would still ride new airhead BMWs but it's no longer possible. So they are forced to come here with no other options. But at the same time they can't let go of their real feelings. :'(

Thank goodness I've got an old one AND a new one! ☺
I just counted. I've had 15 motorcycles over the last 36 years. More than some, but I guess still less than other guys here. The last 3 have been Guzzis and I'm sure the next one will be too (in fact, I'd love to have 2 Eldorados, one old, one new!).
But ALL motorcycles interest me!
I have a friend with an R90S and another with an R100R PD. I wish I had both of them! And I wish I still had all the other bikes I've sold over the years, Honda's, Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW, Harley, Laverda. Motorbikes are great!
As Nick Lowe said, "What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding?"

You know I want to "try" a bmw, I really do.
I've never owned one of their motorcycles, and I did redo a low miles 99 M3 for the ex-wife.
But they just seem pricey, high maintenance, bloated with electronics that can fail, rear ends that are questionable, did I mention pricey even used? (Geesh guys want $5K for a R1150GS with 40 or 50K miles on them)...
It seems like their engineering is so good that their economic model in their cars is that they require a 2nd commissioning at (here's a shocker) the miles the warranty goes out.. why?
So that their target white collar audience will turn around and trade it in for "fear" of a break down for the newest model.
Its actually a great economic model for them.. there's a lot of BMW cars on the road..
Personally I just think while they are amazing cars to drive.. dang they've got to be pricey from a total cost of ownership perspective.
I assume that's true with their motorcycles as well.
Ok that's my little take on BMW bikes and cars.

I think that the airhead riders fit in just fine around here. There are a lot of Guzzi riders that can't let go of the past either. This IS a big part of the appeal for many here.

Exactly.
Sorry BMW fans, but as much as you guys fawn over that orange bike there is no way it can come close to a LeMans.

I like that. Reminds me of my R65. Really nice motorcycles by anyone's standard (although in the midst of argument, they'll say not!) ;)

I like old and new Guzzi's... 8)
I like new and old BMW's... :)
I like the new Racer / Stone / Special V7 Guzzi's, but I think the motors are a little............. ...... "anemic"... :o :o ;D :D ;)
I want to buy a new Griso 1200 8V SE... or buy another vintage Le Mans 850...and ZOOT it up like my last one....but don't have the money right now... :(
I am riding to the annual Guzzi Gathering of Eagles this weekend in historic Cottonwood, AZ on my poor ol' '78 Honda GL1000 "naked" Gold Wing. 8) ;-T - - aka "The Root Beer Float!" 8) ;-T
O' the horror...THE HORROR!! ;D :D ;) :) 8)

I love Guzzi, and I would also go with the Le Mans. But I can still like the R90. There are a lot of nice bikes out there (mostly the older stuff though!)

It's nice but looks like half of its swing arm got knackered. Not a delightful looking wheel hub.

I'll tell you what, when it comes time to change a rear tire, that's a BEAUTIFUL, DELIGHTFUL looking hub. Just like on my "cobby-looking" Stelvio.
Compared to the agonizing campaign of removing mufflers, saddlebags, turning the bike on its side, taking off chains, and all the other impedimentia of a "normal" bike, I LOVE this setup ....

I always enjoyed the R80ST except for the small gas tank. ;-T
I preferred the R65 due to the larger tank.

BTW, do you know when a motorcycle is NOT a motorcycle?
When it is a piece of furniture.

Hey....... I think your talking about me.

Is that related to dementia?

Hey....... I think your talking about me.
If the shoe fits... :-*
Looking at the ratio of vintage to modern bikes in my garage, I'm guilty too.
-
Is that related to dementia?
What kind of question is ... What are you talking about anyway? Hey, are those kids in my yard again?

Impedimentia or Dementia....I think it's time for a long RIDE this weekend! :D ;D :) 8) ;-T

It must be impedimenta.
Lannis probably "thinking" about his unimpeded dementia.

It's used regularly. That picture was taken testing out the new bike lift. It's not a piece of furniture, but it is extremely clean,!

What I hate, are the crome muflers. The design was so balanced with red and black. Putting on some chome pieces, tells me he didn't get the design.
This was mine, in 1980, picture is of that time. It had a hard life.
Making the wheels gold was doen before I bought it, and in that time it looked a bit like you had the magnesium wheels, the real thing.

I'd have gone with black too, but hey, if everybody had the same tastes, the world would be a boring place. ☺
I like yours with the gold wheels Paul!

I like my '79 Le Mans and that's about it. ( I did flirt with the idea of a R100RS for a time, but that was until I saw the Cycle Mag cover featuring the CX100. )
