LeMans 1 Shock Disassembly
« on: September 14, 2019, 01:37:39 PM »
Need to ask, once the spring is compressed, how do these shocks come apart?  I don't see a circlip or retainer clips at the top like most shocks.  See pics.

Thanks,
Chris

If you're wanting to remove the springs it's done at the adjuster ring at the bottom I believe. There should be open slots in the preload ring that when turned to lign up with the dogs on the cartidge they will slide down off. You'll  need a press or tool to compress the springs. My original Eldorado units looked similar and that's how they come apart.
