Hi all, I wanted to share my experience. I bought my 2012 Norge new towards the end of 2013 and was my only bike for a few years. In that time I had the dealer verify it was factory roller tappet, it was one of the first. Soon after bringing it home, I bought a hand-made megaphone can from guzzitech. Over the years added AVS levers, tinted windscreen cut down, and had the seat upgraded from a local shop.
Well early in March I took her in for inspection and didn’t pass because the front tire was worn too much on the left side, so that led to new hoops, went with the new Road5GTs and had the rims painted red. While that was being done I did a fork service and noticed it was difficult to remove the front axle, so I think the forks where misaligned and could have led to the uneven tire wear. With new seals, bushings, fluid and proper fork alignment the bike has never handled this well, even from new.
A week later did the normal maintenance needed for around the 22,000 mile mark. And while digging on this forum I decided to remove swingarm and re-grease the bearings... like others they were a bit dry but in good shape.
Lastly I bought the beetle map and was able yesterday to give it a good test ride for a few hours over many different roads. Wow what a nice difference, smoother in all regards, feels more powerful and very consistent in power delivery. Less gurgles and pops on decelerations. I wish I did this years ago and if you are contemplating it don’t wait, super easy to install and great price.

Look at the header and select the "Stelvio, Norge, Sport, and Bellagio Maps" drop down menu.

Nice success story! And good on you for sticking with it! Now you have a real jewel.

Since I planned to keep the stock pipe I thought the factory map would suffice. Soon I found I was not happy with the rough edge to the way the engine felt so I installed a Beetle map for the stock Norge at my 600 mile service. Beetle's map completely transformed the rough nature of the engine into an almost turbine like, smooth, tower of power. The best money spent on the Norge, for sure.

As for the sticking axle..
You’ve to make sure all 4 pinch bolts are completely loose or the axle will be as tight as a fish’s arse.
You can undo the first one and by the time you do the others, the first one is nipped again. Also a smear of Panther Piss is a worthwhile pursuit upon assembly.

Thanks and I love the green, might happen... the Tuono I have features just enough green.
I did have all the pinch bolts completely lose and there was zero tension on them. After doing the fork service and making sure the forks we aligned properly the axle went in very easily. Love this bike again and she has now earned her place in the stable, LOL.

The seat is the base stock seat but had them save the Guzzi logo from the original covering. The foam is built up 1” higher to give me a little more leg room and also has gel inserts. The sides are vinyl with a carbon fiber texture and top is Alcantara for grip. I spray it with 3m fabric protector a few times a year to protect against water and elements. Seat is about two years old since redone by the upholster

This happened to my Griso, I replaced both wheel bearings, this is something I do before an extended trip because one bike spat all the balls out of one bearing.
Shortly after one of the new AllBalls bearings must have seized causing it to spin on the axel, by the time I replaced the front tire it had chewed quite a grove in the axel and I had to make a puller to extract the axel.

It’s not, soon after buying the bike I found a muffler from GuzziTech and this was hand-made, took a while to get. They don’t sell this style anymore.
