Resr end ticking

Need some advice, I have a center stand on my v7 iii
When I turn the wheel ,while the engine is not running
I hear some noise from the rear end, like parts are moving inside, as if I turn a wheel that has sprockets and chain
I looked at another guzzi, and its completely silent, no noise at all while turning the wheel, when driving I don't hear any strange noises, I guss without the stand I wouldn't have noticed, is it normal noises?or a beginning of a problem?
Thanks

You may just be hearing the the brake pads dragging on the rear disc. The pads are always just barely touching the disc ready to grab when the brake is applied. Any bike with disc brakes will have the same sound to some extent.

When the bike is on the stand, the uni is going through an unnaturally large angle.
Try taking off the shocks while on the centrestand and prop the swingarm up to the position it would be if it was laden.
You might find the noise disappears.

My III has the HB CS and does the same thing. Sounds like the shaft or U joint is hitting the housing. V700 Steve installed mine and said don't worry about it, so I haven't. It's gotten 17000 on it and is still fine.
It does make me wonder what happens when people put longer than called for rear shocks and go over a severe bump and the thing really hits.

When I roll ithe bike down a slope I don't hear any noises ,when the engine is off
If anyone who has a center stand can try it I will really appreciate

Listen over by the ujoint rubber, I think that's were the noise was on Vagrents. Maybe some stretch out farther than others, only happens on the centerstand. Nothing to worry about. You could listen on the end of a screwdriver also with tip on affected area.

Likely just a touch of movement in the splines. Take it apart, pack the splines with goo, see if it changes.
At may even be the bearings rattling a touch on the pinion rings. The best fix is to not listen to it when it is on the center stand.
