yep, nothing left to do except replace the front stainless brake lines that sprung a leak. Never had that happen before. I'll have a ride report once she's ready to go. it's amazing how heavy the factory wheels are, especially the rear.

Yup.  The 1987 F1B that we rebuilt at the same time as my V7 Sport has astralites on it.  So light, they’re the only rims besides plain old shouldered Borranis that I have ever really, really liked.  They’re gorgeous wheels, too- especially that gold.

One day, during a moment of inattentiveness, the F1 was taken on brief off-road excursion that buggered the front wheel.  It’s been a long time and we haven’t found a replacement yet.  Very impressive to see your pair materialize. You’ve mentioned them before iirc.

I would really like a set for my CX, but have no realistic expectations about it ever happening.

I found these a week before x-mas on E-bay. Bid late at night with 30 minutes left and I was sure they'd get sniped at the last second. A couple of friends said they passed on them due to the odd sizes. (17" front and the 4 inch wide rear). These are the only aftermarket wheels I could imagine putting on this bike.

Great score, can't believe I missed them!

Must be the season for Astralites - seems they are everywhere but in my hands!  :azn:

Wheels and Conti attack tires did wonders.  She steers really light and transitions faster side to side. I feel like I could get a knee down if I was still that brave. Stick a fork in this one.
