Lemans rear tyre change: hints & tips

Hi all,

newly arrived LeMans in the shed & I've got a set of Pirelli Sport Demons waiting to go on.

Thought I'd ask for any hints/tips about the rear tyre change. Looks like I can remove the rear caliper & mount similarly to the V11 but better to ask now than have the rear in pieces!

Nothing out of the ordinary. Rear wheel off the ground remove the caliper from the bracket, remove the axle, push the wheel to the left to disengage the cush drive fingers and pull back to remove. Thank note of where the spacers are and that's it.

A piece of wood on the floor will make the lift just a bit higher so the tire will clear the license plate bracket.

you don't remove the caliper from the bracket...

exactly what I was after, good to know the caliper & mount can stay together.

The timber tip is gold, I do this with my V11 to clear the mudguard but wouldn't have thought of it first time round on the LeMans.

you have to have enough slack in the brake line, and you tilt the caliper bracket back and clockwise and make sure its axle spacer part drops into one of the rear rotors cutouts...

Whenever I remove the rear wheel of my LM2 I always remove the brake caliper first.
With that out of the way, the caliper mounting bracket is 10 times easier to remove and refit.
