Leaking rear hub. '14 V7 Special

So, dropped my bike off at the stealer (still under warranty, so I'll let them get greasy), but want to ask for some thoughts:

I've got a rear hub leak, intermittent. it's NOT diff. fluid, as I"m only 800 km from my fluid change and that stuff is dark... the leak I have is amber/golden.

No rhyme or reason to when it decides to drip, sometimes it simply makes the lower section of my hub a little oily, others, I'll come out to find it's puked on my rim and tire.

I'm thinking it's a seal around the shaft, but is the shaft in an oil bath? I thought it was dry. Plus, if it's a leak from the transmission... that's a long way to travel, to drip out the hub, no?

Not if there's no where else for it to go.  That's my guess.

Just seems like that would mean two failed seals... one at each end? Haven't got a diagram, and at this point, it's just a thought exercise... seeing as how it's in the shop already.

Seems early though... 2 months and only 6800 km.

Try removing the breather and making sure it's working properly. Sounds like the bevelbox is pressurising and forcing oil past a seal. It won't be from the gearbox, the front of the bevelbox is sealed.

There's no requirement to add moly to the rear,  so the oil wouldn't be that dark.

I've checked... Its dark, damn near black.

Ok, I assume you've stuck your finger in it.. and given it a whiff? If it's not gear oil, there might be a line loose in the engine breather system. (?) There's a ton of oil mist in it.
