What software are you using for post? I was on Aperture until i upgraded the OS to Yosemite and Apple graciously migrated all my albums to their POS Photos without so much as a 'please, may I'. I'm not going into the Cloud to pay monthly for software so I've been running Aperture through Terminal.

I am using photoshop LE on my W7 computer for this.  The mac won't run my film scanners, so this is my photo production machine.

It has been a phenomenal week for the lights, even though Sitka has not been the best venue.  They were out again last night.  I went up the hill early (9:PM) and was socked in, although I could see lights behind the clouds.  I finally hiked back down after midnight with no serious shooting done (although I had fun lighting up foregrounds with a flashlight).  Come 3:30 AM the cloud cover lifted, so I went to  different parts of the road system until dawn, shooting from the roadside.  Here are a few cloud-ridden pics.

RK's a little modest.

He puts together calendars with his photographs.  True.

True, indeed.  But if you look at it from the point of view (haha) that all I have to do is point a lens in the general direction of up and randomly work the shutter, there's not a lot to brag about.

There is a certain truth to your humility but the other side is: if you don't make the effort nothing is made.
This has been a good week for aurora for sure. I'm enjoying looking at it as I write. For whatever reason, I haven't been in the frame of mind to go out and create an image. Thank you for sharing your vision of the energy above us.

Thanks for the reminder of how awesome this planet is!

We've had some great pics of Aurora Australis coming out of Tasmania this week, so there's definitely something in the air.
Cheers
