Sorry I can't help at the moment.  But you might want to modify the title of the thread, Vandalia is close to St. Louis MO.  Perhaps say Southern IL so those in close boarder states may be able to help as well?

I've been looking through the MGNOC contact directory.  Am starting to call a few guys that are closer.  It is a 5 hour drive for me.

I just talked to Noel and he is going to try and get towed back To St Louis to a Guzzi dealer.   If anyone is nearby with a trailer or truck he could use the help.  Tow trucks are not available for about 3 hours.  Noel related that his Griso was blowing a lot of oil out the motor vent tube.  The bike had been running perfectly since leaving California and suddenly began blowing oil coating the back end the bike swingarm and wheel with oil.

I sent him the MGNOC help list but I don’t think he had any luck with that.

I contacted Glenn.  He is an hour away from Vandalia.  He will call Noel to see if he can help.

It would help to know the year of Noel's Griso.  I am pondering his oil issue.

I am wondering if Noel "topped off" the oil level recently?  It is a classic symptom of overfilled oil.  On a Griso the top mark is TOO much.

Exactly...it will blow oil thru the two drain tubes down below and also accumulate into the airbox.  I'd siphon off 1/2 a quart to start with, clean up the box and drain the tubes and see if it continues to accumulate, then drain some more.  As long as the bike is running...he might need a fresh set of plugs if they got fouled...I'd try all that before towing, could be an easy fix.

Presumably it's a low mileage bike and as Dave says...the result of a fresh oil fill...

Noel is now in St. Louis at the Guzzi shop and they are checking out the bike.  I think he knows about overfilling and hadn’t added any oil prior to today and hadn’t had any issues.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.

Probably a cracked breather hose or the condom on the condensor box has split. Either of those let go and it's very messy very quickly.
