Griso Remap GuzziDiag Questions

Hi guys, new owner here who's read up a bit but I have a few questions if anyone can point me in the right direction

My 1100 Griso seems to ride well (I've already read up and set up the suspension) but as I've never owned a Guzzi before, I've limited reference

It's spec is K&N filter, Scorpion end can with no baffle, Memjet fuelling device - I see that all three are frowned upon on here but it seems to pull well at the bottom and mid range but the only thing that happens above 6k is increased vibration (which is the opposite of what I've read with these mods) I've contacted Beetle to see if his map will work for me, I'm willing to lose the filter and memjet but do I really have to lose the endcan ?

I have seen the MG Termi for the 8v for sale, I presume that will fit mine and I'm willing to give it a try

I've already bought and set up the GuzziDiag and downloaded my existing map - is there anything else I can do with it ?

My "Service" light is on, I've looked at the codes and reset them and reset the Service light via the dash but it won't go out.
My speedo sensor has died (I have one on order) but surely this shouldn't prevent the Service light resetting (although it won't clear the speedo code)

You'll get a lot of opinions about the memjet.
You may want to try it with the baffle in the pipe.

No reason it shouldn't run well with the aftermarket can (see comment about baffle above).
Beetle should have a map for the 1100 Griso and it's worth a shot.

I agree the memjet is at best a bodge and from what I've read Guzzis already run rich at higher rpm - the exhaust is sooty too

On my KTM i had to fit an O2 optimiser as it would shake below 4k as standard, my Griso seems fine in that respect

The best bit about the bike is the noise, particularly on the overrun

He does have a map - just one, unlike the 8v

      The speed sensor problem can apparently affect all sorts of things, it should be fixed and in good order as a baseline first.

      I'm not sure what the Memjet thing is, but disconnecting it and installing Beetles map would give you a known starting point.

      Doing a proper tune up, may possibly fix any running issues,,, ie adjust valves, TPS, then synch/balance throttle bodies.

Yes. You won't be able to clear it until you replace the speedo sensor.

A bad speedo sensor can cause all sorts of weird things to happen.

     I can confirm what Beetle says about it causing weird problems, albeit 2nd hand info.

     I purchased a higher mileage (58K) 2007 Griso that had the fix done already by the previous owner. He advised me that the speed sensor had caused a variety of frustrating symptoms that completely stumped him; to the point he thought it was the legendary digital dash issue, and bought a NOS dash, before he figured out it was the speed sensor.

     If you search, there should be lots of info on here and grisoghetto on the proper repair procedure.

     Iirc it's not just a straight swap, it also involves well placed silicon or sealant to permanently fix it.
