V7C rear cush rubbers

Since the snow is falling time to do some project's. The V7C is getting new black mags and black V7 Special side panels and those fancy fork adjusters. But I ran into a snag with the rear wheel exchange.

Question,,,,,has anyone done this swap yet? I find that the spoke wheel has a set of cush rubbers behind the brake mounting plate. Do I need those rubbers with the mag wheel ? I ask because they are too big for the slots on the mag wheel. Mag wheel owners please check for me and see if you have them on your bike. Or if someone has a parts manual can you see if they are listed for the mag wheel and if there is different part numbers.

I have the cush drive rubbers on my V7 Stone. You can see them on this diagram...number 9...harper's has them listed as part# 32632510.

Seems to be the same part number as models with spoked rims, number 17 below...harper's also has it listed as part# 32632510

Each rubber is split, with a smaller & larger section. Only fit in one way - the smaller section facing the direction of spin. (And fall out all too easily). Try with the wheel off the bike and laid flat first. That should help you get it right.

Next time I have the wheel off, I'll take a photo for the archive. Shouldn't be too long now - have 11,000k on the current rear tyre.

You guys have missed my point....It's not the cush drive rubbers. I found out from my dealer that the early spoke wheel bikes had a bad brake squeal so the factory included these rubber blocks behind the brake disc carrier to deaden the harmonic vibration causing the squeal. Not needed on the mag wheels.

no problemo .....after looking at the parts diagram number #21 is the "support rubber" in question. Now we both know ;D  ;-T

But the mag wheels also have a "rubber support part", part #7 in the mag wheel diagram, part #21 in the spoke wheel diagram, but it's the same Guzzi part number, GU32636160, so apparently these wheels also need the squeal damper, if that's really what it's for.

While I do enjoy a good support rubber, my 2009 V7C never had that rubber, nor did I add it to the Breva wheels I put on last year. Are you putting on the Stone mag wheels?

Which V7 Special side panels are you putting on?
