Italian polarity symbols

On the face of the Marelli ignition coil on my V700, the right hand side (coil facing right side of bike) is marked "B+" and the other side "D". I assume the former is the positive side and should be connected to the blue/black wire from the fuse panel and the latter is negative and should be connected to the distributor?

I think that would be a safe assumption.
I would work either way but there is a tiny advantage having it correct, a few hundred extra spark Volts

B+ is used on almost all electronic schematic diagrams beginning early in the tube era. Means Battery Positive supplying a circuit.

B+ is battery positive
D is dinamo/dynamo

At least that is what my 1955 Moto Morini Turismo uses...your D could be distributore ;D

Thanks for all the great answers guys! Sounds like I have my coil wired up for optimum spark! Startup after two years restoration is hours away!!
