Damn Dusty, just how tall are you that you need a windshield like that

    Not all that tall , just have a freakishly long upper body

In reality , that picture creates an illusion that the shield is taller than it really is .

Not at all Rob.  Ride what you want.  Most MG owners are multi-brand and multi-bike owners.   :thumb:

Cam, Yes we hope to make the Mass gathering as well...

Thanks all,
See you on the road.

Well unless I sell the V11 Jackal and pick up an EV before then we will probably use the HD then...

So at which rally do they drop a randomly selected H-D from a crane?

Been to quite a few Guzzi rallies. Always some people with other brands. They are always welcomed. I have brought friends to rallies with Goldwings, various HDs and they had a blast. I too have been spotted at a Guzzi rally on other than Guzzi.  Its all good!!!!

It's the "Guzzi State of Mind" that counts.  That stays with the rider, not the bike.

Not sure how to answer that Mike.. ? ? ?

rad, I was inferring that non-H-D folks drop a Harley like the Harley folks used to drop foreign bikes, particularly Japanese, from a crane lift.  I remember co-workers coming back from Harley gatherings talking it up.  But, that was way back circa 1980.  (When I had to borrow the boss's Impala to visit the Chevy plant in Buffalo NY.  Foreign cars weren't allowed to park...)

The '04 EV on route to the National in West Virginia in '05.  We took the Harley factory tour  in York, PA.. Self fulfilling prophecy...?
Reminds me that even my wife (who sometimes uses the term 'disinterested spouse') enjoyed the Harley museum in Milwaukee.

Back to the topic vice versa:  My brother was sure he had the only Norge at a BMW national rally a couple of years ago and coming up is the BMW hosted North Georgia Rally 29APR2016.  There always seems to be a gaggle of Guzzi infiltrators.  BMW folks do a great job organizing events here in the Southeast USA.

Enjoy your expeditions, cheers,
Mike

I have seen Honda Bashes... kid you not...  At rallies of American Iron persuasion, they would sell turns to beat the crap out of a chosen sacrificial Honda or some other poor Oriental rig with a sledge hammer.  Weird.

Another time we saw, at a Honda Dealer open house no less, taped the throttle wide open to see how long it would take a CX500 or something to run until it stopped.  People would buy squares on a grid that correspond to the amount of time it would take to stop the engine and that person would win a prize, cash from the sales...  This particular Honda would not give it up so they drained the oil from the case and did the throttle again with the hopes (I guess) that it would blow up...  it still did not give up, it finally just slowed and just stopped but never did blow...!

Hey RD,

That would be great Steve, we would love to travel with you and Chia.  Our plan is to motor up in two days stopping in St. John for the first night and we will stay in Pictou vs camping at the gathering...

At this time we have no idea where we will go after, West...?  PEI...?

Gimme a scream and we can plan it out...

So, which Triumph...?

Ciao,
Rob

Bro Rob, if anybody questions your loyalty to the brand, just do as you did when I, puzzled, asked you how many Guzzis you had owned.

You had to get out a piece of paper and a pencil, and after some travels down memory lane(s), said...

" Eighteen...or maybe nineteen... "

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I rode my '60 R60 to the Land of Enchantment BMW Rally and was told that I had the incorrect air pump on the frame. I went to the Datil Wells Moto Guzzi Rally and was plied with bar-b-que and awarded a door prize. Guzzi riders are great company...
