8V Norge heat scoops on older Norge?

Will these bolt up or do they require some degree of fabrication?

Fabrication.



It isn't that hard, but it take some time to figure it out. I just went to Home Depot and purchased some aluminum stock and used a vice to bend and shape.

You can get the bracket you need from your friendly dealer along with the scoops and screws. That will have you 90% dine and attached in two of the three mounting points!
The guy I helped that with in his 2 valve Norge said it worked great

It helps but doesn't solve the problem. I probably should put the lowers back on for the summer months and see if that helps the problem.  I hadn't thought that the 8valve brackets would work but would have taken that route had I known, but this took me a couple of hours along with a bench grinder and some black paint.

Thanks for the word.  I might try these.  Also gonna try Beetle's 2v map for the bike as well since I've heard others say that also helps a small bit as per heat.

I also have the map, but give the scoops a try as they are not very expensive. Don't know about the brackets but the aluminum cost me $8 bucks? If the MG brackets are $35 bucks and I still had to modify them, then I'd pass, but that's me.

Like you mention, someone else told me I need to put the lowers back on the bike.  Right now I have both lowers off and only the skirt under the headlight fairing.  I like that look but I suppose the lowers redirect the heat a good bit.  Will have to try.  Or just shed all the fairings and get me a Breva headlight
