I'm new here and still learning the MG lingo so bear with me if this seems a silly question.... In cars the "V" stands for the design of the engine and the subsequent number stands for the number of cylinders. Thus, a V6 if a V design with six cylinders, a V8 usually has eight spark plugs, and so forth. I own a MG V7 which appears about five cylinders short by this logic. Did I get a defective bike? Okay, that was lame. I know it's only supposed to have two cylinders but, my question is, what does the MG V7, V9, etc., stand for, if anything? Version 7?
