Why did he go to the bother? Up until recently Enfield had their own diesel powered by a Robin motor. By all reports it was so slow that by the time you'd ridden to the next village all your grandchildren would of died of old age but it did have the benefit that if you had multiple lifetimes you could ride to Proxima Centauri and back without switching to reserve!

I have heard of some, but never seen one in the US at all.. So im guessing a good 90+% of US bikers would believe they are just not out there.

It is kinda cool though. Im sure the MPG is amazing!!  Looks like a nicely done swap also. Not all hacked together. Also saying it will do 70 is one thing...  how long it takes to get there is the key!!!!

But what makes you think this one will be slow Pete?  No mention of gearing that I observed when scanning the advert.

There was a diesel Guzzi at John Day a few years back, I think it might have had a Yamaha in it.

There's a vid somewhere of it running quite fast and the black smoke cloud is stuck to his back in the vortex behind him. Looks like The Ghost Rider!

It's a great bit of custom work, even if it is totally impractical and horribly nasty to be anywhere near. It got the guy who built it a job at Diesel Brothers.

I think I’d get to like a diesel Guzzi.
At least you could explain away the rattles.
And Pete.
He probably doesn’t consider it a “bother”.
You know some blokes take an acclaimed classic Guzzi, and alter it’s engine “ because they can...”

Certainly not the only diesel bike out there, but maybe one of the better looking ones.  Not $8,200 better looking, however.
