Corbin seat for V7II Stone
«

I tried the search but didn't find the info I am looking for. Two questions for anyone who has a Corbin on their V7II;
-Does it fit the bike without mods? Seems there are some fitment issues based on the info I did find in other threads
-What is the seat surface height compared to the stock seat? I would like a seat that is slightly higher than stock.
Thanks for your help!

I have one on my MkI (2013).
I don't think there's a chassis difference with the II.
Fit was a PIA, but worked.
Comfort of pretty good. But I've only spent say 100 miles at a time, 200 in a day, so far... Like yesterday.
Overall I'm pretty happy, but also happy I didn't pay full price. I'm not sure it's much better than the OEM Cafe seat I had.

Thanks Kev. I did see the thread on your seat but since yours was a 2014, I thought it might not apply. But I think you are right re: same basic bike. Do you know if the seat is higher or lower than the stock seat?
I have always been happy with Corbin seats, they work very well for me. And I am liking the V7II so much that I plan to be taking some longer trips. But I need the legroom of a taller seat. Corbins are frequently lower in my experience.

I tried it on a III. No go. the ABS fuse sticks up too high but that could be modified easily. If you have added bags, racks or anything to the back the seat is too narrow to go over the longer attachment bolt. I have the HB bags and when I went to put it on the longer mounting bolts instantly tore the cover. they for some reason made their pan a little differently. Now if you really wanted one you could cut away some of their base and make it work. PITA! I had Berg make one. It's nice but not perfect. Mostly because being 2000 miles away he's just guessing dimensions.

I think it's about the same height as stock.
If you want I can take some measurements when I get home this evening.
It is a bit wider though.

I got a corbin on my 2017 V7III Special the corbin website does not list a V7III so I called AF1 racing and they told me the V7II seat will fit the V7III the only thing I needed to do was add some bushings to the bottom of the seat now its perfect
