V9 Roamer Luggage Carriers

Doug likes to take a passenger along now and again, so really needed the two-up seat on the Roamer. And he uses a top case on occasion, which can also double as a back rest for his passenger. The Givi rear rack won't fit with the two-up seat, so that meant he needed to go with the Moto Guzzi rack. It uses the same attachment points as the Givi side carriers, so he shortened the posts on the Givi brackets and cut aluminum bushings to fit between the two.
He uses the Givi E22 cases for daily runabouts, swaps to his Pelicans for trips. He's not rigged the rear rack for his top case yet, that'll be a project for later on.

I have the Guzzi rack on my 1400. Costly, but very well made. It has been through several seasons now, several trips, lots of rain events and no sign of pitting or rust. I am pleased with it.

Interesting! So how much longer is the two up seat than the regular one?
I'm guessing it is just the picture, but those Pelican cases look very close to the muffler.

We've not measured, but I'd guess the two-up seat is a third again longer than the base seat. That case does look close in the photo, but I think Doug measured 6 or so inches between the case and the exhaust outlet. So far so good after the test rides.

Just got in from our trip a few hours ago. Ended up with about 6200 miles with no problems from the Roamer or Sarah's Yamaha MT07. May post some more details and photos when we rest up a little. Doug
