Listed my California Touring

It made me slightly sick to my stomach since I love the drivetrain so much and it's great for two up riding but I've come to terms with the fact I need something lighter, that's decent on gravel and that my daughter can take for a spin.  I listed it here, on CL and ADVrider.  I'm torn so when I get the inevitable stupid e-mails from CL offering $5,000 I'll probably be creatively savage in response.  I already have a couple leads on V7's so I'm hoping I get to enjoy the rest of the riding season whether my bike sells or not.

I recently sold my California 1400T on cycletrader.  I was somewhat sad, because the bike is beautiful (I've gotten more compliments on that bike than any other) and comfy, but it's just too heavy.  I ended up riding other bikes before I rode the big Cali.

I've had eyes for a V9 Roamer for a while, but I think that I'm at a point in my life where I should be spending money elsewhere.

I agree that it would be perfect but for three things(two are easily addressed); I don't like the kneepads.  The bottom of them aren't parallel with the top rail of the frame or the red stripes on the tank so they look like a 12 year old kid stuck them on crooked.  I don't like the numberplates on the side.  That's a set of sidecovers away from being rectified and lastly, I'm not crazy about the color scheme.  Minus the numberplates and the kneepads I could live with one.

Maybe you and your daughter can both go check out a Royal Enfield?
Might be something you both could use?
