Red 97 Sport 1100 on eBay

Any of you seen this yet on eBay ? Can’t help but think I could make it run right. The mileage is pretty high (I think). Anybody here drag something like this home before? Did you succeed and have have a reliable bike afterwards? It’s harder & harder to get parts for these bikes I’ve read. At what point does a bike like this become a “parter-outer”?

Even if the ECU were toast, replacements are readily availably and there are alternatives. ( cliff Jefferies ECU)
Probably needs one of Will Creedons' Chips and a proper tune up. Considering the running issues and mileage, I wouldn't go above 3K if I really wanted a sport i.

The ring & pinion concern me as well as the “no bearing at the front of the crankshaft” feature.

That very machine is back up on eBay. Andy prolly passed on it due to the high mileage. Dude has only had it for 3 weeks.
Edit....oops, it has been snatched up. Oh well. Never mind !
