Not saying there aren't some things to like about that, BUT... Cannot understand why one would go to the trouble of putting round fin valve covers on a square fin motor!

what he said, they look dopey.  So does the pipe wrapping.

I'll try to justify what I said. At first I didn't like it. There are some things that I certainly don't like, like the see-through area where the battery used to be. I've gotten tired of that cliche. Also the tail light, and the wrapped exhaust pipes, and maybe even the t3 valve covers. I'd put on some side covers and some decent tail light and turn signals.

But I like the gas tank. It seems more substantial and purposeful than many cafe racer tanks. The pinstriping for once looks like somebody isn't trying to reproduce a BMW; the lines are drawn in unusual but still appropriate locations, and those blue lines down the sides of the tank are an original touch and even seem to flow naturally to the locations of the carburetors down below.

The combination of matte and gloss paint on the gas tank is also attractive to me. So is the dash and speedometer (!) treatment, and the size of the fairing.

Somehow it seems like a more solid incarnation of a cafe racer, more appropriate to a Guzzi, which is really not much of a racer when you get right down to it.. A little bit like the old Black Bomber CB450 idea. But better looking.

I don't like every little piece.

Same boat..  Some I don't like, but overall I do. Id toss on some sport side covers... I agree I hate the open look. I don't hate the rear treatment either... Loose the pipe wrap, and add side covers and Id be vary happy.

And I kinda like the early valve covers...  the later ones look vary... 80's..

Thanks for posting. I've seen this site before, and it's definitely worth visiting from time to time - I personally think Guzzis make the BEST cafe bikes, and the latest one here is tasty. Many nice details, including using the fairing as a dash of sorts.

Not a fan of the naked rear end, bare midsection and pipe wrap. Needs the right valve covers. Even the striping looks busy to me, but I am interested in the fiberglass tank.

looks great to me, sweet ride.  I dont care about the pipe wrap... I wouldnt put it on but it doesnt offend me. Very cool Cafe Racer

One might quibble about certain details, but overall it's a clean, minimalist and -to me - aesthetically pleasing build.  I like it quite a lot.

On re-reading the description I think those two bluish stripes down the sides are exposed fiberglass, intended to reveal the level of fuel in the tank! Supposed to be an old racer's device. I guess I like that, but it's something I associate more with an outboard motor.
