David from Lismore is thinking of coming down (I believe you had his phone no once) and it's likely Doug (also from Lismore) will make an appearance. There's free camping at Apsley Falls, 20k down the Oxley from Walcha, and at Ellenborough & the Long Flat pub at the other end. People will be at Bretti, from at least Wednesday onwards. Note that the gubbmint is making noises about a total fire ban - it's pretty dry out there, a lot drier than the Northern Rivers. I suspect both the rivers will be lower than last year, although there was some snow on Barrington Tops recently. Stock up on bottled water at Walcha or Gloucester/Barrington.
