We have been notified that Lake Joy campground will not be open this summer.
Therefore the 2020 WMGR full service rally at that location, will not happen.
We are currently working on an alternate location, still in SW Wisconsin. It will likely be a BYOE event.
Dates will be tentatively pushed back to August 14-16.
Details to follow.

It's on my calendar and looking forward to it. This may be my only rally this year.
You Wisconsin people can really roll with the punches. A big thank you to the whole crew for all the extra work this will cause you.

Ride Safe.

Just had a conversation with an Ohio friend who was planning on the first weekend. I sent him this info and he went to the MGNOC site and insists I'm confused.

Someone may wanna get the MGNOC listing updated soon....

It's great that ya'll are making it happen!

This is the same weekend as the annual New Mexico State Rally in Datil, (just sayin'...)

Stephan Byarlay of the NM Guzzi contingency recently texted me and said:  "Datil is still scheduled, but on a TBD basis"
He also said if the Kansas Rally happens, Aug. 7-9, then they will go ahead with Datil, Aug. 13-16. :thumb:

Just curious why the NM rally is dependent on some event in Kansas ?

Good question (???), and I have no idea, frankly speaking.  That's just what I was told, so don't shoot the messenger! (lol)

 Wasn't meant that way . It has been mentioned several times that the NM event is contingent on a rally in KS put on by someone that remains unknown to us . Not trying to be snarky , maybe the host in NM wants the MGNOC to give some sort of blessing?

It just seems odd is all .

Just a guess but with the two events in the same region and fairly close time frame the Datil folks might be looking at picking up some attendance. People who head out to western Kansas might want to go on out to the mountains for an extended trip. It might give some people a reason to head out there if the trip could be a two for one and make the effort a bit more attractive.

Agreed...and no worries...

Maybe Matt F. (NM) knows this guy Don Rome (KS) (?) or whatever (?)  Yes, it does seem odd...

OK , that kinda makes sense .

Someone should attempt to contact MGNOC or the host of the rally in Scott City KS , we have actually tried to no avail to contact them. If and when that happens we will then put the info out there , until then no one here knows anything . Fair enough ?

Plenty fair indeed. My wife and I are the Nebraska MGNOC reps. I will contact Frank Wedge and find out what the status is and get back to you. We had plans to attend but due to her high risk status for - we may not be going anyway.

Thanks , John Henry is working on this also . Maybe between the two of you reps we can find out what is happening , too hot in Kansas for me that time of year , but we do wish them well in their endeavor . Lake Scott state park looks nice , although shade will be at a premium .

Frank says its a go. Garden City and the county have approved it and if there are no sudden changes it will take place Aug. 7-9 as planed.
