I would have sworn that the rider was Gene Hackman but then, Gene is about 90!
Did not understand a word but the engine has a nice note and the bike looks neat. Could not tell anything about the handling though but thanks for posting janguzzi.

I'm not usually a fan of radical custom bikes, nor to I normally care to "damn with faint praise" by saying "I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it", but I do make an exception for this one.    That's a beautifully done conversion and most importantly appears to be eminently ridable.  Not sure how it would handle but it sure looks like it's been done right!

Hope the owner puts some miles on it.

Could be; the Ariel Square Four had that issue.

But maybe the fact that the heavily-finned cylinders are out in the breeze like that obviates the need for a shrouded fan like you'd have to have when it's under the back of a car ...

The original installation of this V8 engine in a Tatra automobile would have included a lot of sheetmetal engine shrouding and a substantial fan blowing through it all to cool the engine. This is not unlike an aircooled 911 or Beetle engine. As installed in the lengthened Guzzi loop frame, the engine's cooling depends on the generous finned area of the cylinders, plus two oil coolers for the 6.5L of oil in the sump. No doubt the rear cylinders (all six of those in the rear) suffer from less cooling than the pair in front. But I doubt that the bike gets enough mileage, or enough brutal treatment, for cooling to be a problem.

If you have a little of the lingo it’s apparent that the builder of this bike probably prefers to speak strong dialect versus so-called High German...  He seems to be more or less in the same boat, even within Germany 

Anyway, I admire his effort and enthusiasm.

You can figure out a little of it, like when he's talking about the "light-machine" (alternator conversion), about the mufflers, but that maybe doesn't qualify as "little", much less let you figure out what DIALECT he's using ... !

Tatra 815s (three of them) were used as the "War Rig" on the last Mad Max movie, and a Tatra 815 has won its class at Paris-Dakar six times .... I think they use a version of this same motor ....

He sounds to be Bavarian or Austrian, speaking slowly and haltingly in standard German as though it is taking a bit of effort.  He is speaking in a foreign language, more or less, as you listen to him speak in a foreign language

That's pretty cool, in a Because-You-Can sort of way.  It's got a great sound.
It's very cool that he built the whole thing himself.

Aircooled V-8, 2.5 L, about 150ci.
It's not that outrageous for power -- 110hp, and about 125 lb-ft torque.
That's pretty strong torque, but not more than a BMW K1600GT.

I liked several of his ingenious solutions to make it fit and work.
I'm a bit leery of the hinky oil cooling setup.
I'm not sure about the long term viability of the angled driveshaft.
And the underseat Goldwing fuel tank light be inadequate; not sure.

But overall -- I say "Bravo!"
