77 Lemans resto

Hello, I have  a 77 Lemans I am doing a light cosmetic resto on.  I am having difficulty finding a rattle can paint color to match the satin black on the frame.  I have tried semi gloss black and satin black in different brands and they are too glossy.  I have tried flat blacks and they are too flat.  Any suggestions on brand or color that might work would be appreciated.

Try combinations of each.  A light coat of flat over the gloss while it's still wet to tone it down.  Or a satin clear coat over flat black might give it just the amount of shine you are looking for.  Practice on some piece of scrap metal that you can hold next to the frame and see how it looks.

You might also try an industrial supply - like a place that sells automotive paint. i've gotten some named SIMM (I think that's it) in spray cans from one of those places. NAPA has some frame paint that comes out semi gloss.

 Check Eastwood I think they have a satin in their frame paint.
