Just drove up to Tulsa to see Tedeschi Trucks Band. I'll have to walk 3 blocks from the hotel to Brady Theater in 28 degree weather! it'll even be colder after the show.

Thank goodness for the bars in between.

True.. true. 3 blocks probably equals 3 bars.. unlike Wisconsin where it would be at least 6.

Actually 4. But we're in the Bible Belt and aren't "back sliders" like you guys in the midwest.

But did stop at a cigar bar for a beer & smoke for me and a Merlot for the Mrs.

Rub it in Guys. Cold rain now (we really do need the rain) and tomorrow the great riding conditions of rain, sleet, and snow mix. At least the we and the Guzzis are tucked well away from the weather.

They're just tougher than me. I have no defense, these guys that go ice-fishing and snowmobiling, no way can I keep up. Just a "soft southerner" as the Scots say about Kentishmen ....

Yes, I admit, thatI too.... am a total "WUSS" when it comes to winter...as been living in the Southwest too long...

My upstate New York winters have been far behind me for decades now...

Nowadays, if I want to experience extreme cold weather, I just drive one hour north to Flagstaff!

Looks like winter came to the Siskiyous - the mountains at the California/Oregon border.

I bought a bike about 15 years ago in the San Francisco area, car pooled down there and rode it the 600 miles home in early January. My luck was incredible in that it didn't rain on me at all, and in fact, was fairly warm and sunny. Several months later in May some friends decided to ride to the Redwoods over the Siskiyous the way I had come. They spent a couple hours in a sudden blizzard, turned around and went home. LOL
