So in a 2010 thread GuzziSteve mentioned a seal kit from Hermy's in PA. So I called and got Hermy Jr because Sr is in Italy. tough gig. Anyways, they transferred me to Kathy and she was quite helpful. They have a set of NOS paioli struts for my bike but I think I would run into the same issue as I am having now, bad seals? They want 170 not including shipping from PA which isn't bad just not an expense I was expecting right now. All I really need to know is where to find the piston cup seal at the metering end and the double lip seal at the cap. The oring is an MS28775-019. The dimensions for the piston cup seal are ID 12mm by OD 24mm and 7mm thick. The original cap seal was from a company called Corteco but they claim to not make that seal nor do they know of an equal (PN 12010240B). I have a few leads on something close out of Poland but I haven't heard back yet. Also since we are nearing Thanksgiving getting anything out of Poland is a long shot until after the new year between snow and holidays. All the hardware looks good otherwise I would be closer to grabbing the NOS. I know there are replacements but I if I can I would really like to keep it somewhat original. The left side still holds air but I am still using the crossover tube so it leaks out the rh side.
So, Opinions? Kathy told me also that the Part number Steve gave me from Paioli for the rebuild kit is a good number but doesn't know if they have any or can get them. Internet turns up nothing on that kit number also. So let me know what you think!
And a great big hearty thanks to GuzziSteve for the lead!
