Tank Emblem

So I'm planning to paint the tank on my Cali Stone this winter. I'm looking at these enamel tank badges that were used on Grisos, Norges, etc.  http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=286&products_id=5062
 I'm wondering if the badges are curved enough to fit on the "whale willie" tank. They're used on the Bellagio, but they're set in those little chrome frames, which might compensate for flatness in the badge. Has anyone seen the back of these badges? I guess if they're too flat I could mold a shim out of good ol' Steel Stik.

  These are flat emblems, no curve that I am aware of.

Thanks. Maybe I'll go with decals instead. Speaking of decals, I had my daughter adapt a design I found on the Interwebs to come up with a different logo for the side covers.

She changed "republic" in the original to "stone" and did a right-facing version. I had her leave it spotty to give it a lithographed, i.e. stone-printed, look.
