New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I just got the latest issue of Rider Magazine. An article by Clement Salvadore titled Does a Motorcycle Have Character? Towards the end of the article he says "These test bikes all had their own good points, with a few bad points, and to remember I only have to find the road test. Moto Guzzi Centauro? October 1998." So I was wondering what he meant. I assumed he meant lots of character because we all know our bikes are probably the poster children for bikes with character. I am just not too familiar with older Guzzis. There is another article, Favorite Ride, in that same mag that has a picture with some bikes in front of a restaurant. It is hard to see but right in front is an MG, looks like it might be a V7 II.kk
There is one on mg classifieds. In Clearwater Florida. I talked to him some years back, and it seemed like a good one. Has an old Griso also.http://www.mgnoc.com/classifieds.html
Those two machines lasted I believe the owner said about 2 days!!!I never really got a crack at the Centi as he already had the offer before speaking with me.Still looking.
Keep looking...be patient...a nice one will turn up in the near future, I predict.
Will do... do you know something that I should know?
I keep wanting to sell mine, but then I always make the mistake of riding it.
Check Blue Moon Cycles in Georgia. They had a yellow one.
IIRC Grey on grey model was only the basic model. Which I have in the garage. '97 year.
Another one just posted here. Calls it a GT, but its not. Worth a call maybe.http://www.mgnoc.com/classifieds.html
Equipped the same as mine, and mine was called a GT, too. I'm not sure they ever made the windshields for the GT model.. I've never seen one. It's a repaint, by the way.
I guess with the repaint it could have been a sport, and all the bits will interchange.
The sport didn't have the luggage rack.Right, but it could have been added.
If it's a GT it should say so on the tank
Not necessarily.. this is Guzzi we're talking about. Mine was anthracite with the "adjustable" bars, sport chin fairing and fly screen, and GT "luggage rack." '98.
Oooooh. Forgot about that. 1 year later, add a windscreen and luggage rack. Call it a GT (Gran Turismo) and now appeals to the touring crowd. New & improved.
