loop disc brake conversion

I've done a front end disc brake conversion on my ambo that did not require an original factory installation. The drawback to using an original installation is its scarcity, especially the front fender and fender struts. I reused the original drum brake ambo fender, fender struts, fork tubes, triple clamps and fork shrouds. I replaced the front wire wheel, fork lowers, fork dampers and springs, with corresponding parts from a disc brake guzzi tonti  and added Brembo p08 calipers and appropriate brake discs, brake cylinders, lines, and fittings. I used an axle from a disc brake Eldorado (Thanks Charlie) tho' a longer axle from a later California will work with spacers. Most of the difficulties involved making spacers and brackets to fit so I've attached images and dimensions of these components I made.

I did a similar conversion, but cahnged out the forks at the same time.... I had a good welder sharing the workshop at the time....

Just to note, the spacers on the axle locate the brake disc in the calipers mounted on the fork lowers in mock up position. The spacers were used for the brake disc carrier in the pic below




I don't recall the center to center distance for the disc to position into the calipers when mounted. Maybe Charlie can add this to the post. The aluminum stock used for the fender strut brackets on the axle is 6.5mm thick.
