Your Favorite Motorcycle Movie ?
« on: March 18, 2020, 09:37:39 PM »
I was always fond of

The Motorcycle Diaries -  a 2004 biopic about the journey and written memoir of the 23-year-old Ernesto Guevara, who would several years later become internationally known as the iconic Marxist guerrilla leader and revolutionary Che Guevara.  The film recounts the 1952 expedition, initially by motorcycle, across South America by Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado.

It's in Spanish, subtitled in English.

Anyone ever seen Electra Glide In Blue ?

Wild Hogs ???

La Linea di Fuoco.  Harsh war movie set in North Africa.  The very first 'voice' one hears is a Moto Guzzi.  Spoiler alert, at the end it is again Moto Guzzi who rescues our protagonist.

Harold and Maude.  Because the police chase scenes take place on the old Dumbarton Bridge causeway and mostly it is Moto Guzzi doing the chasing.  I took Bruce Baille to the moto 'theft' location.

Harold and Maude was a classic,  i don't even remember about the bikes.

Fauss and Hausely was good one too.  Pollard & Redford.  I'll still stick with Burt and the Indian.   But Easy Rider and plenty more were good ones.  If it wasn't for bike movies where would Jack Nicholson be?

:gotpics:I love The Long Way Round and The Long Way Down. Excellent series.

Followed by The Fastest Indian.

Somebody mentioned the Gumball Rally, I love that one too.

The Blues Brothers. Not a motorcycle movie? Well there WERE motorcycle cops, so it counts!

Ya'll are forgetting 'The Wild One' with Marlon Brando.

But...I gotta go with Patrick's 'Harold and Maude'.  While motorcycles aren't the focus, that is just a dang good movie.
