Gettin' itchy

I had to cancel my trip from SoCal to Las Vegas, NM and up to Colorado to ride with my buddy in the Rockies because of this - business and I am getting really itchy to do a long trip but I guess I'll have to just postpone it until all this blows over. One trip I have done which I really like is to Monterrey, Ca and back down the coast hwy through Big Sur. Not terribly long but a good ride. If any of you guys are in the Central coast area of California there is a great motorcycle museum in Solvang. When I was a talking to the curator, he said in the future they were going to take all the bikes out and run them as they do every year but he didn't give me a date. It might be quite a charge to hear the Guzzi V8, the Britten, the tz750 etc.

I knew of the Solvang museum, but didn’t know that they had one of the (5?) v8 racers. Will have to redouble my efforts. Maybe the long way home from the Nevada rally next Fall.....

It is a fully functioning V8. There are a lot of NSU's with bathtub fairings and some great BMW's but my favorites are these two bikes.
