96 Cal for sale
« on: April 22, 2020, 09:02:14 AM »
Its baack... I emailed back and forth a little bit with this guy last year. Its a Storm Sandy bike. Guess nobody wants it for $650. I'm interested in that its the same color as my Cal, would be good to have spares. Likely the electrics and the engine are toast. It'll cost me a few beans to get my car and trailer to LI and back to CT. Waffling here... If I could get it for a couple of Benjamin's it might be worth the effort.

Might be more good parts on it than you think, although if it's been under salt water, maybe not.

FOR ME (and your technique may be different), I wouldn't talk about it on the phone or Email any more ... I'd put the price I'm willing to pay in $20s in my pocket and show up at the man's house with a trailer.   If it's been for sale a long time, I'm sure he'd be willing to take whatever you're offering.   The size of the potential buyer pool for such a bike is VERY small .... !!
