Here in New Zealand we have just come out of a "Level 4 Lockdown,' meaning that we were unable to shop, go anywhere, socialise etc because of this Covid19 virus. We are now in level 3 and hopefully dropping to Level 2 in another week or so.
While we were in level 4 I got out a bike that I have had sitting in storage for the last 4 years, having resolved to start building it whilst having little else to do. This is the bike.

As you can see, the bike is a 1/9th scale 1957 Moto Guzzi 500cc V8, made in kit form by a company called Protar. This company was started by Tarquinio Provini, a well-known Italian motorcycle racer from the sixties. Their range of models was amazing. There was even a model of a V7 which had, to the best of my memory, something like 700 parts and, being made in places from transparent plastic, allowed the internals to be seen working! Anyway, I digress.
I was all ready to start work when I realised that I had one critical material missing. I had no glue. My dear wife managed to find some online which arrived 2 days ago. Now all I need to do is wait for winter to set in, thus giving me an excuse to not go outside but rather stay inside and work on my new bike.
